Teton Panoramic

I combined all the photos in photoshop using photomerge. Then, I used content aware to fill in the empty areas at the top and bottom of the photos. (They blended pretty well together.) I added an adjustment layer to adjust the levels. As I was adjusting, I kept noticing little things like signs and cars in the far background, so, I just started using content aware to get rid of all the signs and cars on the road. Then, I took it into Camera Raw for final edits and to use the adjustment brush to increase the exposure on the mountains and add a little more shadow to the right side. I kept the left side shadow heavy because it was the natural light. Also, I increased the exposure on all of the brown plants to help bring texture to the foreground.
"On the Open Road" * 5/12/11-5:15 PM * Teton Valley, Idaho * f-stop varied * shutter speed varied* Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT* I zoomed in because we were at a scenic look out kind of far away and really wanted to capture the natural shadows and lighting because of the clouds.

  1. I love the natural look and the shadowing of the clouds on the ground. I also like how you used content aware to remove the sign and car. You did a good job on this shot. My only suggestion would be maybe darken the sky a little, give it more of a blue look.
